Discover IT is an engaging classroom activity that introduces students to the exciting world of information technology careers. In this activity, each student creates their own Discover IT visualizer, showcasing what they’ve learned about IT jobs. The program is designed for all high school students, whether they’re tech novices or already have some experience in IT and tech programs.
Discover Finance is an interactive classroom activity that introduces students to career opportunities in the world of financial services, focusing on four key sectors: Banking, Insurance, Accounting, and Securities & Investments. Students research careers and create an engaging infographic that showcases their findings. Designed for all high school students, this activity helps them explore Financial Services careers, education paths leading into financial services, and the Northeast Ohio companies where they can work.
To help teachers, educators, and/or counselors implement the activity in their classroom, we provide a detailed lesson plan and handouts. These resources enhance the experience by making it engaging and informative, ensuring that students leave with a better understanding of the exciting opportunities waiting for them in information technology.
