Educator Instructions
Back to: RSVP (Regional Site Visit Program) Educators
Thank you for enrolling in our Regional Site Visit Program, designed to provide your students with invaluable insights into the world of Information Technology (IT) professionals.
Site visits give students a chance to learn firsthand about an industry, specific jobs, and potential career opportunities.
Site visits can help students to:
- Build occupational knowledge.
- Develop an understanding of the education and training needed.
- Foster an understanding of the business’s workforce and its contributions to the community.
Student Expectations
The student agrees to:
- Be courteous and considerate of the site visit host.
- Dress appropriately for a site visit and wear comfortable walking shoes.
- Be engaged during the site tour.
- Be prepared to ask questions.
Prior to your participation in the site visit, there are several essential tasks to complete:
- Photo Waiver/Release Permission Slips: Please ensure that all students attending the site visit complete the provided photo waiver/release permission slips. Once signed and completed, kindly scan the forms and send them to Joy Childress, Early Career Exploration Program Manager, at jchildress@greatercle.com.
- Preparation for Site Visit: Encourage your students to conduct research about the hosting company to gain insight into their operations. To aid in this preparation, we have attached a document containing pertinent questions that students can utilize to engage with IT professionals during the tour.
- Transportation Reimbursement: We understand that transportation costs can be a concern. Therefore, the Greater Cleveland Partnership Early Career ExplorationTeam offers school transportation reimbursement of up to $200 for schools in need of financial assistance with busing expenses. Each educator is eligible for one reimbursement per school year.
To request reimbursement funds, please download and complete the provided form. Once filled out, send the form to Joy Childress at jchildress@greatercle.com
